  16. If your thinking about writing your own software, most of the "standard" 
  17. graphic text books cover it (i.e. Principals of Interactive...), also 
  18. see if your school library has any issues of SIGGRAPH's annual issues 
  19. (they're expensive.)

  21. If, on the other hand, you just need software, then ImageFX (my fav), 
  22. ImageMaster (excellent, cheep package) and a bunch of PD/ShareWare 
  23. image-processing packages do it- some might have source-code to.
